7:00 p.m.
Post Theater in Fort Douglas, Salt Lake City
This film tells the story of essential infrastructure systems: drinking water, wastewater, and storm water. Exploring the history, engineering challenges, and political and economic realities, the documentary provides an understanding of the hidden assets that support every aspect of American life. Disease protection, fire protection, basic sanitation, economic development, and life itself would be impossible without the water infrastructure. Largely out of sight and out of mind, the water infrastructure is aging-in some case more than 100 years old-and it will need immediate attention and significant expenditures at the local and national level.
